Reviews Very dull show. I've been to quite a few O.A.R. shows and this one did not impress me. It seemed like they just didn't really feel like playing and it showed in their song choices. Started off excellent but just seemed to lose its touch near the end. -bosspringsteen July 23, 2005

I thought it was awesome, 3 encores, 17 songs alot of the heavy hitters, 3 sick songs that will be on the record. I loved it, crowd dragged at end, but they played hard every song! -tindawg31 July 23, 2005

in conn on friday i tlaked with chaimson from the southland for about 30 minutes after the show. he said this show was by far the biggest show o.a.r. has ever played by at least 1/3. he siad 13,500 tickets were sold and the final attendance was about 14,500. woah. -rourkeman4 July 23, 2005
Amazing show! alot of "fans" sit down after Hey Girl and stand up for Poker. but so many people were into it and really made it amazing, marc seemed sad or something and the energy was taken down a notch (only in the begining) but he proved himself later on. First off,Pepper was awesome. I thought OAR was pretty good over all, the energy in the seats was way better then last year, and the set was longer so that was good. The lowlights of the show were the ppl running on stage, i felt like that put the band in a bad mood. Old Man Time and Heard The World I could have done with out. Highlights were Poker, Whose Chariot, Mr. Brown, and Destination. The new songs 52-50 and Lay down were good as well. Overall 8.5 out of 10. OAR is an awesome band and they will continue to grow but the fans have to chill out a little bit. And the security there was a mess, what a-hole's. This was my first OAR show. I thought they rocked the place out with poker, hey girl, black rock and king of the thing. The fans were crazy and the band was awesome, I cannot wait to see them again... at the hammerstein ballroom. -mathews7302 July 24, 2005
I thought the show was okay. I was at jones beach last week and i thought the crowd was so much better there were to many people there who just chanting USA the whole time and only new poker and hey girl also the amount of crowd surfering was out of control. also to much little girl pukage. ive been to 6 shows and this was the first time where marc has let the crowd sing i feel home i thought that was nice...pumped for next friday in Conn.. -MyDelicateFew July 24, 2005
I thought the show was great. They did a great job, but it just seems the crowd is the part that holds them back. Too many popped collars who left their stomach contents all over the place. I'll never understand the disparity between the quality of the crowd and the quality of the band and content of the lyrics. Fantastic show. Rework of Heard the World was the highlight. I saw 52-50 in Philly the second time it was played, and to hear how it has evolved is great. Probably one of my favorite shows I've been to. Crowd wasn't as bad as other OAR shows. Overall a good show. I thought it started out really great but died down a little bit after 'Destination' but it definitely picked up again quickly. The crowd was alright, too many "fans" sat down between the big songs, but the true fans made it great. The encore was killer. The fact that Marc let us sing the chorus to 'I Feel Home' was awesome, and I was not expecting to hear 'Mr. Brown' at all. Can't wait 'till Hammerstein........it's going to be AMAZING. for me, the highlight of this show was getting to meet the band before they went on. i had met everyone but marc, so it was very thrilling to finally shake his hand. as always, they were a pleasure to talk to. the show itself was good, but nothing blew me away. it was cool to finally hear 'heard the world'. i definitely like it. you can tell that 'lay down' has been "album-ized", and i'm not sure i like it as much. it sounded better when it was more raw, and reggae-ish. i'm also not sure the keyboards all night did much for me. but, i don't wanna sound like it wasn't fun...the encore was a blast, and overall, it's tough to complain about the set. and, i'll say again...this is BY FAR the best summer venue to see o.a.r. in. from the tailgate scene to the party inside, nothing comes close to beating it. fun day! -sweartoyoutrue July 26, 2005
Unreal setlist. The biggest weakness is the crowd. There was the same problem the week before at Jones Beach. Tailgating is great but there's no need for fighting, puking, and drunk a-holes at the concert. The reworked Heard the World is amazing. See you at Hammerstein!!! -berg0804 July 26, 2005

OK well I guess I was one of those drunk teenagers even though Im pushing 25, Best friend Dan even mentioned if were still tailgating like this in three years, to shoot one of us to make a point. Stayed in the parking lot and drank until the Troopers told us to go in, thank goodness they did, because the show started the minute we hit the lawn. Wonderful day was a great way to move the show along after a hit, its becoming one of their most popular live songs with the crowd. No reason for James, brought the crowd down, could have thrown delicate few in to keep best friend dan from crying. But overall very pleased with the show, even though I dont remember much of it, and for some odd reason with a pretty loose lawn, you would have thought we could have moved. Ughhh. Amazing show. I was in the 5th row and the energy from crowd was unreal. Letting us sing the entire chorus of I Feel Home was definitly a highlight. Poker and City on Down were also great. This night was incredible and one I will never forget. -Rae2485 August 1, 2005

Great show overall; was not a big fan of the setlist, although king of the thing was a great opener. The time between Hey Girl and Crazy Game was very chillen out, which was fine, although not what I had expected. The last 7 songs were wild, and incredible; not only were the boys involved but the quality of the music was outstanding- one of those shows that you don't want ever to end.Also, very impressed with The Southland. -TheWanderer27 June 6, 2006
