Reviews A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Third concert in a year, and the setlist blew me away. Personally been waiting to hear Lay Down, and they opened with it...and Who's Chariot? later on was a blast. Also a big Dylan fan and can't beleive they played Like A Rolling Stone. This show was once again amazing and I'm prayin there's a recording out there somewhere...Also Props to Stephen Kellog and the Sixers.. saw them with OAR Back last March, they just keep getting better. -KingOfTheThing3788 February 12, 2006
Great setlist, great crowd, (except for the little kids throwing paper airplanes), and a great venue provided an incredible night. Revisited and James were awesome!!!!! -tommyboy5 February 12, 2006
Very good show. Second time I've seen them with SK6ERS in the 10 shows I've been to, and without a doubt they're the best opening band I've seen. Plust they were out in the entry way almost as soon as the show ended chatting with fans. Awesome seeing 59th Street Bridge Song -> City On Down. Also, the crowd singing the first verse of Delicate Few was awesome. Hope there's a recording out there. The party atmosphere with everyone out on stage during "Like a Rolling Stone" was cool. I thought the paper airplanes being thrown from the top balcony between acts was kinda fun. Sitting on the floor watching them come down, seeing whose would make it all the way to the floor was entertaining during the down time. -bjwillauer February 12, 2006
THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING!!! The crowd was definetly into the whole concert and so was the band. Unreal setlist and what a great way to end a show with a Bob Dylan Cover, even though they've done it all tour. Also Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers were great. I thought that revisited and Whose Chariot? were unreal. GREAT NIGHT -littleo112233 February 12, 2006
Awsome show i dont really like lay down as an opener though but its all good. Out of the 4 oar shows ive been to this was the best one yet. The crowed was awsome there was no pushing or crowed surfing and it was just nice and peaceful. The crowed also knew the words to the songs to which was great for delicate few. Overall great setlist and the band had a lot of energy and they keep on getting better and better! -footballteen25 February 12, 2006
That was my 5th show and it was probably my favorite. It made it so much better sitting in 4th row so close to the band. The atmosphere was great. The crowd brought the noise and the band played a great setlist and I felt Marc was really into it. I also would agree that Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers were the best opening act I have seen for OAR. They had a lot of energy and really got that crowd ready for the show, Piano Man was sweet. They also did a great job in the closing Bob Dylan song, which was sure to make everyone go home happy. One of the highlights for me was the transisiton of The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) into City On Down. They def. rocked that and I could feel it coming. I also enjoyed the early spark from Hey Girl and Black Rock with the What I am tag. It was nice to see them so early and get the crowd pumped. The only downset for me is that they didnt play I Feel Home. I wish they would of played that instead of Love and Memories in the encore. Overall, a night and concert i will never forget!!! -oarcrazed February 12, 2006
Great Show personlly i woulda liked to here Heres To You and I Feel Home but with Stephen Kellogg there and playing Like A Rolling Stone at the end it made for a great night. And kinda off topic but does anyone know the name of the song that Stephen Kellogg played with the small parts from like my humps and in da club... i heard it at the rave when he opened for OAR there and it was unbelievable... it was nothing less this time around either -tfoss February 12, 2006
One of the best, of the numerous shows, i have attended. It helped being front row (aa) center for the show, that was awesome, never that close for a show before. Anyways I was so exicted that the guys decided to come back to Madison, I went to the show the last time they played here in Madison @ The Barrymore, and hoped they would have played some rare jams like favorite book of poetry or the with or without you outro to city on down like they did back in 02, but the show was still great. I also enjoyed the party atmosphere and how much fun everyone was having on stage during like a rolling stone. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the show, when the band plays on a college campus it is so much better than anywhere else they play and i havent been to a college show in quite some time. -mbombs February 12, 2006
one of the best shows i have seen O.A.R. put on i exspecially loved the rendition of Like A Rolling Stone and how the kept it real by mixing in the old with the new. -tribalmetz87 February 13, 2006
Again Holy Shit. That was a sweet show. Definately my second favorite. The overture center was so amazing, when O.A.R. comes back to Madtown I sure as hell hope they get booked there again. It was my first time hearing Revisited and James live, so that of course was wonderful, and it would have been great if they had played I Feel Home, but it was a good show nonetheless. Come back to madison soon guys. Thanks -Mr_Patterson February 13, 2006
Amazing show! First of all props to Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers for their performance, specially when they sang my humps. As for OAR, amazing setlist.....only songs I didn't know were 59th st bridge and like a rolling stone but its alright. Also first OAR show I go to that isn't closed with poker. Overall the best OAR concert I've gone to (4th one). -OshkoshDave February 16, 2006
Amazing. We sat in "Obstructed view" box seats that were stage level, which ended up only being a restricted view of Richard's guitar. My favorite O.A.R. show, packed with energy in one of the best venues found in Madison. The Overture Center combines such great acoustics with an intimate concert environment. Hope they play here again! -awbremer August 21, 2009
