Reviews Id like to start by apologizing to the band, on the OFF chance that they read this, about the lack of life in that crowd. i was about 10 feet away, and MAYBE I saw 6 other people singing along. Now, i understand people not knowing "Woke up an Uncle," cause i've never even heard that song ... but Mr. Moon??? or One Shot?? I had been to toads place, and when every avid-OAR fan left, there was some complaint about the immaturity of the crowd.. but at least they had a heart beat. The set list .. was amazing. Love Dakota live, would've liked either delicate few or chariot .. but we cant be beggers. The bands energy .. was of course, high. I just can't wait till im first row at a show AND the entire arena knows the songs .. seems like both places i was within shouting distance the crowd was suffering. This was the 2nd farthest i've driven to a concert (3.5 hours, and actually it was by bus) The first farthest was to philly (camden, nj) And while I don't feel dissapointed at all, well, because its oar.. and any OAR show is better than no OAR show .. i kinda wish the crowd was more into it .. becuase the band can only work with what you give them. -evatringali March 27, 2006
I think the show went pretty well it was very lax atmosphere. The band seemed to do whatever they wanted on stage. I think jerry was smoking a joint on stage. the crowd was small and quiet butsometimes thats better then crazy, crowd surfing little drunk 15 year olds.. as marc kept saying it was a sunday afternoon. Anyway was amanzing about mr brown is always lovely. my 8th show and my first time hearing heres to you live. michael paris adds so much to the band.. his solos were beautiful -dannyyellin March 27, 2006

I was dead center front row and
It was an amazing show... Crowd did lack alot of life but it was gooooood -O1A1R1 March 27, 2006
Wow...you have no idea how pissed I am about this show. OAR, as usual, give it their all, and played some DAMN good songs.
But WHAT THE HELL?
That was the WORST crowd I've ever seen at not only an OAR concert, but ANY concert.
Personally, I wouldn't have given an encore.
Actually, if I were them, I probably would've told everyone where they could stick it.

So call me a music snob. But, really, people, don't go to the f-ing show if the only songs you know are off SOAS. I miss when every OAR fan knew each other by name.

I can see people not knowing every song - but if you don't you can at least listen and enjoy it. The people next to me were TALKING and using the ENTIRE show to try to take pictures of themselves with Marc in the background. And I was more or less at the very front!

I am seriously planning on writing the band an apology for this. It's my hometown, and I was psyched for them to play here, but now I'm just embarassed.

Only the best band in the world would've put up with it.

EDIT- Ohh mannnn. I just noticed that they had black rock on the set list and then crossed it out. I wish they had played that...although I reaaally enjoyed the Mr. Moon add-in. -vigilante130 March 29, 2006
Yes, it was a relaxed crowd. However, I have seen worse, and I think it just looked worse because you could look down on the people on the floor. For one, it was during the day. Less people are going to party before on a Sunday afternoon. Two, and I'm in this crowd...why'd they make me miss the NCAA tourney? I honestly was more concerned about George Mason/UConn text messages. I have now been to five shows, and there was nothing they did that was amazing compared to the others. I just think it was the wrong time to do a show on a Sunday afternoon. Bash me for being an NCAA tourney fan, but had I realized that it was a 2:30 show, I'd have avoided it. Maybe its just me, but the new album is playing out just as well live as Everyday did for DMB in my eyes. I really don't want to sound bad on the band because I love them, but this wasn't a Binghamton thing, this was a Sunday afternoon thing. Anyone that was at the Forum in September of 04 knows that Binghamton has some wonderful O.A.R. fans. -JoeyZ43 March 29, 2006
^ Yea when the scheduled the show fucking 4 months ago they knew it was NCAA weekend and who would be playing and actually thought about that. Don't go then. Loser. -tindawg31 April 4, 2006
