Reviews Show was good, poor opening band kind of always kills it but maybe I'm just not into that type of music, anyways great show love the nasm joon intro to hey girl always amazing, and destination and anyway were fucking sick :) thanks for the great show

P.S security gaurd slashed my buddies tire , kind of bogus huh -KingOfTheThing3788 April 27, 2006
Great show, great energy! The whole band seemed to be just jammin and having fun. Anyway was sick, jerry was amazing, and SBS was awesome with Vince from Army of Me. Overall, this was an amazing show but any O.A.R. show is amazing!!! -City_On_Down April 27, 2006
yea i was there, i thought that i was a fantastic show. the setlist was pretty solid, there was a couple songs that i was wanting to hear...like "Princess Valierie". but overall it was a good show, any O.A.R. show is good to me..i dont have a voice right now so , it was good!! haha. the only thing that i was kind of pissed about was the teenage people who dont know any thing else except "love and memories" and the drunk and stupid people that crowd surf to "Black rock" and other songs that there is no need to surf too. but whatever i had a good time..i jsut wish some people would grow up.
thanks to the band for having such good energy tonight, i was really impressd on how you could tell that the guys were having a wonderful time playing for us tonght, i appreciate every minute of it.
Thanks
Jack -jackson1220 April 27, 2006
Great show tonight, good to see the band again.

By the way, during Anyway near the end Marc was singing some lyrics to another song, an older song. And for the life of me I can't remember what song that was, anyone know??? -jdub1892 April 27, 2006
Great performance by the band, great energy. Stupid crowd surfers and stupid MTV trend followers plagued this show. -bfriel99 April 27, 2006
The only problem seemed to be the damn college kids causing problems. I mean crowd surfing and just being inconsiderate to those around them. Come on guys. This is one of the best jam bands touring right now, you can't even let the people around you enjoy it. I had to spend more time paying attention to being hit by a crowd surfer from behind then I could the band. It was really disappointing. I was there for the music and the band, not to be cool and just hang with my boys. That's not what this is about. If that's all you want to do, just stay home at your fucking Frat House. And all you teenie boppers that like O.A.R. because you've heard "Love and Memories", check out the older albums. This is where it's at. You can hear the bands progression through the years and learn to appreciate the transition to where they are now and what they have accomplished. Then you won't look like a deer in headlights when they play some older songs.
Now that I've gotten that off of my chest, on to the review.
Seriously, the guys killed. Great to hear a good compilation of old and new. "Destination" one of my favorites, always nice to hear. You guys know how to bring the house down. Jerry, props to you man. You rocked the Tenor last night. Glad to see you guys still enjoy performing after all these years. Thanks for the great show. Thanks for the "Love and Memories" over the years. See you in Chicago in July.
The song that everyone is trying to figure out is "What I Am" by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, thanks for pointing that out shipkasux. It was racking my brain. I knew the song, just couldn't place it. -DestinationSTL April 27, 2006
Awesome show. They were definately having fun. The crowd didn't really give them much back when they played anything old. Tons of drunk teeny-boppers from the burbs who only knew the new stuff, they didn't even know SBS. I'd like to find a 21+ show. The band was amazing and had a great setlist. -dspapo April 27, 2006
First off, let me say to all the college idiots who showed up drunk to the show, shame on you. If you wanna get drunk and listen to music go to the bar in downtown Dekalb. OAR doesn't deserve what the crowd had last night. They deserve much better. Second to all the OAR/MTV fans, you guys need to seriously listen to the old songs of OAR. Even though I am glad OAR is on MTV you guys need to have respect for the old stuff like Night Shift, Chariot, and Anyway. It killed me when night shift came on and almost half the crowd went HUH?. PLEASE listen to old albums. Finally, crowd surfing DOES NOT belong at an OAR concert. Sure you can jump up and down, rock out, or do what ever the hell you want but please dont crowd surf. IT PISSES PEOPLE OFF.

Now with all that in mind, this was by far the best OAR show I have seen to date. Lay down was incredible, the lighting effects to 52-50 were amazing again, and Anyway and Chariot practically stole the show. Kinda disappointed they didn't play One Shot or Program Director. Oh well. Set list kick ass and I can't wait to hear them again in Chicago. By the way, does anyone else agree that OAR should only come to Chicago and not to Dekalb? This way OAR wouldn't have to see the drunk high-school/college kids. Peace. -daschmo April 27, 2006
Pretty good concert...took a few wrong turns on the way up, so I missed the first 2 songs. I was kinda disappointed to not here "I Feel Home" or "City on Down". I totally agree with everyone about the MTV-OAR fans that only know "Love and Memories", it just pisses me off to see them ONLY rock out to that song. Crowd surfing yet AGAIN at an OAR show, oh how it SUCKS! People seriously need to grow up. Good concert over all, I was with some first time OAR concert goers, and they had a blast even though they just started listen to OAR (the OLD stuff, not just the NEW stuff...haha). Can't wait to do it again! -jenna_lynn21 April 28, 2006
First OAR show and it was everything I had hoped for(music wise)! The crowd at times was annoying (crowd surfing) but the folks around me all seemed to be into it. "SBS" was awesome and I was hoping to God that they would play that (especially since I happened to be wearing my U2 shirt). It was great to go back to my old stomping grounds and see them up at NIU and visit Molly's for a few (too many) drinks prior to the show. Hope to see them in Chicago this summer! P.S. I think the song people have referred to was "What I Am" by Eddie Brickell and the New Bohemians -shipkasux April 28, 2006
WOW this show was awsome. Im so glad that they played a lot of there old stuff. Anyway was amazing and so was Black Rock SBS I was so happy to hear Nightshift and destnation kicked ass. All around the best OAR show ive ever seemed. For all the crowed surfers though i agree with all these people Marc doesnt like it when people do that and OAR isnt the music you should do that to go to blink 182 or shit like that. For the people bashing highschool/College students I totally DISagree with you. Yes there is a good percentage of kids that cause trouble and just come smashed but also there is a good percentage including myself that just love OAR and know every song by heart. Everyone has to remember that at one time OAR was just a college band and the college kids are the ones that helpt oar rise up to what they are now. Just thought i would mention that. Peace everyone -footballteen25 April 28, 2006
Absolutely amazing...the guys were so into it and from where i was, so was the crowd. Section 110 was crazy, everyone was so into it and it just made the show that much better because i wasnt around a bunch of jackasses that just know poker and the new stuff. perfect setlist, SBS was a pleasant surprise, Black Rock was incredible as always and Destination is always great to hear. I thought the encore couldve used I feel home or princess valerie. Great time though... -bokaaaaaaaj April 29, 2006
I thought the show was great. i would have to agree with some of the others that the crowd surfing was alittle annyoing...but quite funny at times. but all and all the show was great. they had a great set list with some old and some new and i loved when they played "sunday bloody sunday" with vince from Army of Me. -smoist April 30, 2006
