Reviews Amazing concert. i was on the very front row. The energy in the crowd was incredible, except for the crowd surfers which got annoying. great setlist, and VACO opening up for them was good as well. Probably my favorite of the three times ive seen O.A.R. so far. Awesome venue. -mcw2288 May 6, 2006
amazing, it was my first show and did not disapoint. Va.co. great like they always are... college shows are great, i ended up being surrounded by sorority girls by the end of the show... nothing beats hot drunk sorority girls... i feel home would have been nice, but no complaints, awesome show -fredericks.t May 7, 2006
This show was the definition of "awesome." I attended the concert in Charlotte during the Winter 2006 tour and was not very pleased. The crowd at this show was pretty good (except for some crowd surfers and a total d-bag behind me). The setlist was captain insano. "She Gone" and "About An Hour Ago" were some definite highlights. The security wasn't hasseling anyone and the lights were awesome. Overall, this show was a total upgrade. -mickeybiscuit May 7, 2006
I was there, i was like 4 people back from the front (behind the SUPER tall guy in stripes). That is, until some idiots picked me up without me knowing and took me crowd surfing (Kinda small guy in red shirt/knaki shorts). Then I got kicked out. They said i couldnt even buy a ticket and get back in. I was beyond pissed. Thats happened right as they were transitioning into "Lay Down". The show was amazing, very small concert, which made it better because you were very close and VA.CO. set was amazing. I hope someone got that junk on tape, cause I would like to heard the songs that I missed. I will hit up the summer tour to see them again. They are amazing live.

Just a note to the crowdsurfer thing, i didnt wanna do it, but since i was small, the idiots just picked me up, and i was kicked out, Im still heated about that. Crowd surfers are annoying, but i couldnt help that some drunk dudes grabbed me cause im small and set me up top.

Just got to reading the OARfanNC's post, you are entitled to your spot since you got their early. I still cant believe the idiots picked me up. Im still in high school and my 8 friends that came with me stayed well behaved. Also, i cant wait till Cary. -golf7 May 7, 2006
HAHA. You were behind Big Ben, he's 6'10". We came to the show together and ended up in the 2nd row. My being 6'4" was upsetting to some people, but hey, we got their early and were entitled to our spots. On another note, the show was absolutely unreal! Destination and Short a Try were a lot of fun. As much as people hate on L & M it really is an excellent song live and Delicate Few was really, really good. Hey Girl was really drawn out and well done.

Took the audience awhile to get going as it felt like most people were just there because it was on campus. Marc even made a comment about 4 songs in saying, "You Guys warmed up, yet?" I have a feeling a song or two was cut out from the beginning to get down to Delicate Few where Marc was really trying to get the crowd to participate. Crowd surfing was definitely a little out of hand and the high school kids were plesantly well behaved. All in all great experience, can't wait till Cary.

Lastly, VACO was flippin AWESOME. If they come around again I'll be going. -OARfanNC May 7, 2006
