Reviews It was a really good show. It was pouring outside, but looking back at it, concert wouldn't have been the same without the rain. This is the fifth time I've seen them, and I've loved every show. My real seats were in the orchestra pit, but my buds were on the lawn so i wasn't close up the whole time. Didn't expect ran away in the setlist, and revisited is probably one of their best openers in my opinion. Destination, I feel home and dareh meyod were also favorites. THE ONLY REASON I REGISTERED IS SO I COULD POST THIS COMMENT...
Last night's show was the most disappointing concert I have ever been to (next to O.A.R @ The Breslin in East Lansing). I decided to give them another shot after their pitiful performance at the Bres (totally rehearsed, puppeteered music with two verses, two choruses and a 20 second jam session), and after last night's HOUR AND A HALF SHOW, I'll never pay $40 (after taxes etc.,) and $10 for parking for a show like this. Their performance in '05 at Meadowbrook ROCKED. Ever since (and coinciding with their MTV notoriety), they have begun to travel down the road of the next pop sensation. Long gone are the days of jam sessions, reggee vibes and long, worthwhile shows. Welcome in a live act that sounds like they are still trapped in the studio. Enjoy the show. -lordjosh July 15, 2006
it was a real decent show, heard the world was the best song of the nite, and ran to the top of the world was appropriate because of the rain, i agree that last years was a way better show, but it still was a great nite of music and good songs -rodeojoe124 July 15, 2006
Pretty weak setlist in my opinion. Last year at Meadowbrook had a lot more energy. The crowd seemed suprised that O.A.R. took the stage as early as they did, most people were still filing in 3 songs into the show.
Towards the end of the night the energy picked up. However, it definitely wasn't the same without Black Rock, City On Down, etc. -DaveDesch July 15, 2006
What is this, Disney on Ice? I've never been to a concert that ended that early. 10 o'clock on a Friday night! That was pretty disappointing. 2nd show in a row where they mailed it in for me (last time @ the Bres).
That being said 52-50 was incredible and was almost worth the price of admission. Might wait a little while till I see them again, hope they take a break and get some renewed energy so that they can stay out past 10. -bdk825 July 17, 2006
I have loved OAR for a long time now and I must say I was extremely disappointed with this show. The songs were great, the energy was awesome...and then they left the stage at 10. I'm sorry but being a poor college student is hard enough and when I decide to spend a good chunk of money on a concert by a band that I really like, I expect them to give their fans their all. Especially when they are being drenched in a downpour. Leaving the stage at 10pm is definitely not the way to keep your hardcore fan base alive. I miss the old OAR, the guys who jammed all night and gave their fans exactly what we wanted. Last year's show at Meadowbrook was definitely that. -kmelts July 17, 2006
Well, this was my first OAR show I've been too, and though a lot of the time i was impressed with them - a lot of the time I wasn't too. My friend really hyped them up for me "oh man, one time they played for like 4 hours": this one lasted one and a half. Setlist was okay...could have a played some more classics, I was following setlists from other shows this tour and most of them blow this setlist away.

Apparently I am not the only one that was tremendously disappointed with the Meadowbrook show. I am only writing this in hopes that the band reads these and takes what their fans think and say seriously. With that being said, this was without a doubt one the biggest concert let downs I have ever had. Infact, the last time I saw OAR (State Theatre - Detroit in February) I have felt this way. I wanted to give them try at redemption but I think I am done as a concert go'er. This was my fifth and unfortunatley possibly my last OAR concert. The county oridnance where they played allows bands to play until 11:00 p.m. they stopped an HOUR before that time. They did play the standard 15 song setlist but the song selections were really questionable for a concert. Thankfully they gave us Poker, Hey Girl and Revisited. -kingofmything July 18, 2006
Everytime ive been to OAR since 2001 ive never left a show without saying this is the best one ive ever been to until tonight. No energy and i think marc killed alot of the vibe with too much freestyling. Yes i like it but not to the point he went at it tonight. Kind of killed the vibe to alot of songs. Who in the Heavens turned on the sprinklers? Thank God for cowboy hats because it rained like cats and dogs, a nice prop during 52-50 compliments of Mother Nature. I didn't expect them to take the stage so early and was sad to miss the first few songs , seemed too short. However would have gone just to hear 52-50. That song is one of the best songs out today, a sign that quality music is indeed still alive and kicking- feeling the magic and judging by the raport they had with the crowd the house was feeling it too. Overall OAR is always worth the time and money. Great music, great wisdom, great fun. Always a pleasure to hear these ingredients put to sound. I've been wishing positive energy for this band for some time now so "smiles to the wind at their backs. Keep sailing my friends until you find that bountiful place to call home." Keep Love Alive

This was my first time seeing OAR live after being a fan for a while and I gotta say I was let down by the setlist but it was still OAR and I had a blast even though my and from the looks of it other people's favorite songs were not the ones being played.
