Reviews Great show. Daylight The Dog was played after Anyway. So Lonely only one verse, higher than highest mountain outro. Show was great, solid solid setlist. About Mr. Brown, So Moved On, Anyway, Old Man Time and PV were the highlights for me. -tindawg31 August 11, 2006
After Saratoga there was no place to go but down... the show was mediocre and rather flat... after a great opening with City on down, hey girl, and About Mr. Brown there seemed to be a lull and lack of energy with crowd. Highlights of the show included so moved on and probably the best Lay Down I have heard to date! -hartwickds August 11, 2006
No Destination, I feel home, Night Shift and no wanderer. Terrible setlist very disappointed with the show. This was my 6th show by far the worst setlist. And WTF a triangle solo. I know o.a.r. can do better. -gtom30 August 11, 2006
I felt the show was pretty mundane. The setlist wasn't anything special. The crowd wasn't too into the show either from the feel of it. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with this show. It paled in comparison to their previous show at the Tweeter last November. The first few songs of the show were great and I thought it would continue, but I guess the guys were tired and didn't have the energy for a full on show. I was also a little upset that Jack's Mannequin didn't come out at all, even during the 20 minute long Crazy Game of Poker encore. The guys also finished up the show 10 minutes before they would have been forced to, whereas last time they were at the Tweeter, they forced the show until the last possible second. Nothing special to really say about this show, except maybe hearing Princess Valerie and a pretty good Lay Down. -gpreston August 11, 2006
I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews... i thought the setlist was good and the crows was actually into it... -dougie9898 August 11, 2006
I actually felt the show was great. The setlist was really good. They just have too many good songs now to pick the perfect 15 to 17 every night. You have to realize that more and more younger people are coming to these concerts, hence no clue or sing-a-longs on songs like about mr. brown and so moved on. They get excited over love and memories (which actually was pretty good last night). Lay down was pretty good like preston said. -getaway August 11, 2006
I thought the concert was great. I think energywise, the band got more into it towards the end, but nonetheless, a steller show. Third row was awesome right infront of Rich. It was a great time. The crowd and guys around us were great, and not to mention the girls in front of me too. I loved City On Down, that song really means a lot to me and my friends so it was great to hear it first. I would have liked to hear some stuff from Risen like Here's To You, Nightshift, or Untitled, but I really dont care. Great set last night. I also really liked Mr. Brown. When he was talking about his friend, and since he told me (personally last September) what happened to his his, i got the chills. It was a terrific show, and i would love to see it over and over and over. Oh, yea...Black Rock kicked ass as always. I dont see how anyone can complain. Also, I saw a copy of the original set and they were gonna encore Fool In The Rain with Jack's Mannequin, and close with Hey Girl. I would have loved to see Fool In The Rain again...they encored it with Steve Kellogg and Ari Hest at my first show last spring '05 at the Tower Theatre, so that would have been sweet to see. But the show was still kick-ass. Like I said before, I dont see how anyone can complain. -deisner August 11, 2006
i thought the show was pretty good . the opening was amazingg & i was really excited to hear mr.brown - i loveed opening with city on down w/ the organ intro . the concert didnt seem really long but it was a great time ! -wanderer104 August 11, 2006
i thought it was an awesome show..even jacks mannequin was good - i loved city on down as opener and the organ intro and the setlist was pretty solid all the way through. i was a little dissappointed with no fool in the rain or nightshift..i was hoping for one of them. the crowd was awesome from where i was and the energy from the band was great as well. o.a.r. always puts on a good show

I thought it was a great show I dont see how anyone can complain -Jdleyb August 11, 2006
Great opening with city on down, setlist was very good with only complaint being daylight the dog (only o.a.r. song i think should never be played). Energy from the crowd was great a lot more people then last year at tweeter. Definately top five out of the eleven shows i've seen. Jerry rocked out, probably the best i've ever seen him play...paris even brought his best. Can't wait until fall tour stop in ohio. -oldman168 August 11, 2006
Good show solid set. Always a good time when OAR is on stage. Tweeter is a kick-ass venue. -frankTHEtankOAR August 11, 2006
I have to agree with those who said the setlist wasn't fantastic--I was quite disappointed in it. I think it was an overall good show, but it wasn't a great show--there weren't a lot of O.A.R.'s best. A fun time, though, for me at least.

And regarding that triangle solo, I thought it was hilarious and very different. Definitely a highlight of the show. And that dude was pretty good at what he did. -evkl August 13, 2006
Great show, good to hear some of the older songs along with the usual stuff...Valerie was definitely one of the best (it has evolved alot since i heard it debuted in lancaster) along with James, which is just a great song...Jerry was just ON. he was going crazy, very good to hear...overall a very fun night...

does anybody else have a problem with the tapes that city on down with the intro is only 3:57 long and it cuts out in the middle of city on down? i downlaoded both versions and they did the same thing. -nitro84 August 14, 2006
This was an amazing show...could of played a few more old songs but it was still a great time. the organ intro was sick and the triangle solo was funny too. overall idont see how people are saying this show wasnt good... -dmhock34 August 16, 2006
front row center for the show which made it a lot more fun

alright setlist..i got a setlist before the show and i was really upset delicate few and fool in the rain were taken off..fool in the rain was supposed to be performed with jack's mannequin but the lead singer had a bad voice so he couldn't perform

MP kicked ass again with all the back up stuff
always has energy --really think he should be part of the band soon -SomethingComingOver August 17, 2006
Just to let everyone know there are videos on myspace that I have uploaded of OAR. You can search the myspace videos or go to my profile at www.myspace.com/parrotisla and then click on videos or goto www.parrotisla.com. Good show. -parrotisla August 24, 2006
I thought this show was awesome. I felt like the band is really stepping into there own. So Moved On made the show for me and my buddy who went. Great show and can't wait for the next! -tomroc8 September 9, 2006
I was invited by a friend into the soundcheck about 5 hours before the show was to begin. The song they sung was "The Downeaster Alexa", a cover by Billy Joel (which they subsequently played 2 shows later at Jones Beach, NY), and it was the best song I have ever heard live. It was easily better than Billy Joel could have sung it (so it must be good); they played it about 6 times in a row and 6 times wasn't even enough. I wish they would have an official recording so everyone could hear how good it was. As for the show, it was only my second (I know, not very good for a devoted O.A.R. fan) and it was most surely a disappointment from my first show. I wish they had played more of their earlier songs (they are slightly better than the newest album) and the crowd seemed to be out of sync with the show. O.A.R. concerts always seem to lack some energy when they are in open-air venues which may explain why this one probably wasn't their best. -cameron79377 December 12, 2006
