Reviews Very disappointed with the crowd, and crowd control.

O.A.R. was fantastic, as usual, but the crowd made it very hard to enjoy this show. Drunk + costume + Halloween = annoying.

We were here soley for the show, so maybe we were more annoyed by all the people who were there just to get drunk in costume. Most people didn't seem to even be into the music/singing along. I'm glad I'm going to see them tonight in Ames, IA, as I hope this makes up for the fact that this show was frustrating.

I feel bad for the band, as they rocked out amazingly, but the crowd did not give them the respect they deserve. O.A.R., great show, please do it even bigger tonight in Ames! -whiteghostz November 3, 2008
Wow, what a lineup! I wish I could have been there, minus the drunken crowds -zenith37 November 3, 2008
I nearly got crushed to death, seriously! We had to ask security to help us get over the fence from the front row! Only made it through 4 songs. Thats after coming all the way from New Mexico, standing in the freezing cold for six hours to see them! Thanks alot Madison, you drunk F***s! Otherwise, good show, cant wait to download it! -shanaynay November 3, 2008
Very odd show, this was number 5 for me and probably the fifth best I've seen. There is a difference between drunk people and idiots because I've been drunk at all 5 shows and I've still been able to sing along and enjoy the music without shoving people and ruining it for other people. Was I the only one who thought the sound was bad? I was only probably twenty rows back and still had a hard time hearing sometimes. A good setlist but idiots and bad equiptment made it kind of a disappointment for me. -tmbruz1 November 4, 2008
The crowd was out of control before O.A.R. came on and at times on and off throughout the show. Being pushed around by so many drunk people almost ruined the show, but thankfully we managed to move back a few feet and get dancing!

Excellent show, O.A.R. Great job keeping the songs mostly old-school. Untitled and Get Away won me over and renewed my faith in O.A.R., after hearing All Sides. Can't wait to see another show! -KnowledgeHeBreathed November 4, 2008
First off - I've been to many, many, MANY hardcore/metal shows, and this was the worst body packed crowd I have ever seen. I was on the barricade up front getting smashed into it again and again.

A short play time because of the crowd, but what a picturesque place to have a show! With the background to the show the Wi St. Capital, it was pretty surreal.

Marc sounded great and even with the unreal crowd annoying him, he was cool. I loved the percussion break down with Jerry, Mikel, and Chris, pretty rad.

Marc even gave us a quick taste of some licks in a free-verse that almost were hip-hop-ish, GIVE US MORE!

It was definitely crowded but not much worse than the Rave usually is, nut up pu$$ys. I was about 15 rows back, had a great view (until a 6'5'' Fred Flintstone stood infront of me!!) and thought the sound was perfect. Setlist was alright not the worst but not the best (check out March 24th 2005 at the Rave). Overall a great time and hope they come back soon!! though maybe next time they should separate the audience from the general admittance to state street so crybabys dont get dare wittle selves hurt. -kmoney November 5, 2008
They played a great show like always. The intors were a little week though. I wished they would have played War Song or City on Down. But oh well, the crowd was out of control but what do you expect on halloween weekened at midnight. -Rymaster37 November 8, 2008
Crowd was stupid and drunk but expected it being Halloween. Not the greatest stage setup - wish the Freakfest organizers would have tried a different stage, something like that used for the Taste of Madison, to use more of the Capitol Square to allow a wider area in front of the stage.

Beyond that, once we were able to find an area close to the stage that didn't have us fearing of being trampled, the show was great and a lot of fun! Another fun concert for me in Madison! -awbremer August 21, 2009
