Reviews Pretty decent show/set. First 6 songs were a good way to open. Sad to see they replaced Mr Moon with Risen. I feel bad for the people in the lawn..absolutely came down hard for a good 30 minutes. again, nice venue, but staff is still awful. The Paul Simon cover was a nice surprise. Hopefully the guys will come back in fall/winter and play the tabernacle. -skinnybwb03 August 22, 2009
As always OAR threw down. I left sweaty and tired with a horse throat which means damn good show. Brett Dennen was a very pleasant surprise and I look forward hearing from him again. Show staff did pass out cups of water between sets-so that was cool. Venue is nice, but they still need to lossen up on their parking rules. -mottaboo August 22, 2009
First time seeing the 'new' format for the shows. Great setlist, high energy all night. Mark commented on how much they look forward to playing the ATL and even joked that he might have to move here one day. He said people were so polite and the ladies all dress well. Crazy storm during the show, the lightning added a cool addition to the stage lights, easy for me to say from sitting in my dry seat under the roof! Never get tired of the intensity of War Song. The venue was great in my opinion, the staff really cracked down on underage drinking, police on bikes in the parking lots before the show and police inside asking to see id if they thought someone looked too young to be holding a beer. A nice relief from past shows where it seemed like there were a ton of drunk kids messing with other people's enjoyment of the show. -exit56b August 22, 2009
First time James has been played since MSG in '07! -Ladanay04 August 23, 2009
Awesome setlist, first 3 songs were sick, so moved on is still always nice to hear. great energy, the band seemed like they were having a really good time. verizon wireless is the shittiest concert venue. i live 5 minutes from it but still would much rather drive downtown to see them play at somewhere like the tabernacle or even chastain. -thewanderer90 August 23, 2009
