Reviews Best parts: the crowd, the band's energy, slow intro into City on Down, Delicate Few, Whose Chariot, the freestyling throughout the show
Wort parts: The Stranger didn't sound good, the new song What Ever Happened didn't sound so good, would have liked to hear new song The Fallout
Overall, great show for #16 for me. Glad to be there. -bigbruce97 April 19, 2007
Great show, the crowd was awesome, and the bands energy couldnt have been any better this was my second show and it was deff worth the drive from columbus to BG. The set list was great, wish i could have heard the fallout and heard the world but other than great show and i'll be there for sure when they come to columbus in July. -roadoutsidecbus April 19, 2007
first off let me say that when Jerry hits the sax like only he can, it is one of the most refreshing sounds in our sad and tragic world...I thought Benj was on and into it all night as with Marc and Chris. Richard was laid back as always and Paris has enough energy to play with these guys for a long time. Crowd was good and into it. The venue was too small and the accoustics were terrible...
now to the setlist..
L&M-still probably the best opener thanks to the first minute of energy.
Dareh Meyod-solid as usual
COD-one of the few songs that can mix old fans and new fans for a fun song.
Conquering Fools- a highlight for me
Lay Down- a fun jam period
One Shot-crowd was really into this song.
Chariot- One of my favorite songs to hear live, Jerry owns the entire place with his endless breath.
Stranger- Never heard it live and I'm sad to say it could have been better bc its a great song. Not sure the crowd really knew it either.
Black Rock- smooth
Road Outside Columbus- scarlett and gray lights with Ohio crowd = action packed.
What Ever Happened- coming along since I heard it at the Hard Rock last year, a dark riff to it that is fun to hear...better venue would probably mean this song sounds better.
Hey Girl- typical crowd fav.
Delicate Few- another highlight for me, still a crowd fav. as well. Benj was on fire this song.
Encore was old school but still fun.
I Feel Home- might of been the best song of the night still so simple but sweet, crowd was singing with it and seemed fitting with the week that college students have had.
Poker- I love the energy that it gives but I really think as musicians they are beyond this song now but its the endless circle of "its my first time and they didnt play poker" and "its my 15th time and I wish they didnt play it again"...still fun either way.
Good set + better venue = great -bopagr9 April 19, 2007
