Reviews Very solid show. After not seeing them for 3 years I was impressed with what they brought to Charlotte. I'm still not used to the horn section and haven't decided if I like them or not on the older songs. I thought AAHA was overpowered by the horns, but thought they went well with DF. The segue from Someone in the Road into Chariot was nice. I'm not a fan of the harmonies they use on the Untitled chorus since it's such an emotional and angyry song...I feel it really softens it unnecessarily. Zion was a nice touch and unexpected. Favorite Song is probably the worst song off the new record and I'd be happy if they never play it again. Anyway was great with the little "horn fight" part during the breakdown...Jerry was really on fire for the whole show. Glad to see them play right to the curfew, the whole band seemed to be loving it and Black Rock was a last second addition since they were feeling it. All in all a really good show. -Chris Swanson July 17, 2014
