Reviews Excellent venue for this band, from a concert goers perspective. Audience was able to get up close and personal with the band, in a more intimate atmosphere. As always, O.A.R. put on a great show! They never disappoint, that's for sure. -sampsonam April 23, 2009 Good show. Venue seemed kinda small for OAR but it was definately fun being able to stand. A lot of old and rare songs which were great. Only complaints I have is that after seeing them countless times I have yet tohear them play a cover song or Rise. Great concert nonetheless! -ryebread April 23, 2009 I don't even know where to begin with this one. I wanted them to open with Living in the End and they did. I love that song as the open it just rocks. My friend got a twitter message saying that This Town was "tweaked" and the "tweak" was awesome! I mean these guys just find new ways to play everything and that includes Shattered too. It now has a nice drum intro. This setlist is probably the best I've seen. I know it is the best O.A.R. I've been to bar none. There was not one song I didn't enjoy or felt should not have been played. Old Man Time was a great suprise as was Someone in the Road->Whose Chariot. Hey Girl was awesome as usual. Jerry was nasty all night long just ripping every single song and solo he had! One of my friends who was an O.A.R. rookie before the show kept commenting on how good Jerry was. The Lay Down drum break down never gets old. The set ended nicely with Delicate Few which was also a great suprise for me. It has great energy and vibe. Now the past couple of encores I have seen have featured slow songs, some acoustic then something like Poker to finish off. This Encore was nothing like that. they came out and just rocked with City on Down, Night Shift and Poker! It was just awazing! Marc kind of messed up on the beginning on City on Down which was kind of funny. I met MikelParis after the show and got his autograph which was the icing on the cake! Like I said before, this show is the best O.A.R. I have attended. It had awesome energy from start to finish. I mean they only really slowed it down once maybe twice. By the end of the night, I was sweaty, tired and exhilerated. Great show guys! -LITE14 April 23, 2009 Best OAR concert ive been too. First off the setlist was amazing, every song was so good. It was like listining to MSG all over again with a little bit of 34th & 8th and all sides mixed in there. Wish they opened up with 52-50 instead of living in the end, and i feel home wouldve been crucial, but other than that the concert was perfect. The National was a great venue because you could get real close to the band and everyone was hypey. Someone in the Road transitioning to whose chariot? was epic one of my fav songs. When they played delicate few alot of the audience knew the words which was great b/c they did that one time at a concert and noone knew it and it was weak. Drum solo in lay down w/ jerry doin the drums instead of sax was deff a highlight of the night and marc talkin in the middle of City on down was too. They finished out again with a sick version of poker and i caught the pick that marc threw at the end which made my night complete. Its yellow with OAR written on it. Basically best OAR concert ive been to and im obsessed -5O2A5R20 April 23, 2009 can anyone elaborate on the This Town tweak? -TallSea April 23, 2009 | |||||||||||||||
