Reviews All of us in the front row were singing every song and letting the band know we were actually there for them. Whenever I looked behind me though I was glad I was able to be up front...old men, skanky old women, disgustingly drunk girls, and a whole bunch of tools with their collars popped. I had a great time at the show.
Although I was hoping for some older/rare songs, I am pretty impressed by what they played considering the circumstances. Got the setlist after the show...Conquering Fools, About Mr. Brown and Missing Pieces were scratched. From what I could hear up front it seemed like the crowd was very into the show...well, loud at least. Might be a different story for those of you in the middle.
The sound quality was a little rough...I could barely hear Jerry's sax until Poker. Marc's guitars were turned up much higher than Richard's and drowned out some of his playing.
Got to speak with Benj and Jerry after the show, asked about Red Rocks this summer and Jerry replied "I hope so". He also said they probably wont be back in Arizona until the fall.
How good was Duck Soup? I really enjoyed those guys...even though they are in the 60s, they were jammin! -TallSea January 30, 2009
