| > | Written by Richard On and Marc Roberge. Based on the poem "Beauty of Creation" by Andrew Dekelbaum. Marc: When my best friend's brother passed away at a young age we found a few poems among his things - one was called "Beauty of Creation". There was a line in that poem that stuck with me through the years. "Each day is a gift". The song "Gift" is about two brothers saying goodbye to each other. Richard wrote the perfect music to accompany the story. Richard: To me, this is the most raw and honest/innocent song on the record. Marc's vocal is absolutely sincere. I believe he did it in one take and when he walked out of the vocal booth, we all had goosebumps. |
