Reviews Another fun show. First, great to see them with Matt Nathanson again. I don't think I had seen them together in about 14 years. I wish he had guested on a song. That was a bummer. But the show did not disappoint. 52-50 was a STRONG high energy version to open the show. Loved Jerry;s heavy metal guitar on Love and Memories. He plays more guitar now than I ever remember before. On several songs. For me personally, I got four songs that I hadn't heard before, so that is always awesome. The two new songs obviously, and I Go Through and The Architect. Great stuff. I loved Peace and War Song back to back. Two hugely underrated songs, IMO. I could do without Black Rock at this point in my O.A.R. fandom, but I guess it'll never go away. LOL. For Poker, the "throw the cards" thing has really taken on a life of its own. That was the most cards I've ever seen thrown at an O.A.R. show. Pretty cool, fairly newer show tradition. Looking at the set list scan, I see there were several changes. I was disappointed Something Coming over and especially Caroline the Wrecking Ball got scratched. I'm not losing sleep over not hearing Favorite Song. Anyway, fun show. LAST THING - I don't know why, but this show is not available to buy through O.A.R. Live. It says "due to restrictions." What the hell does that mean? That's hugely disappointing, especially since they have released shows from this venue before. I hope a taper version gets put out at some point but I'm not optimistic about it. I didn't see any. -sweartoyoutrue July 29, 2018
