Reviews Once again an awesome show for Indi. I had never heard of Ozomatli before, but now I will have to look up some more fo their songs. Great setlist and a mostly awesome crowd. I say mostly because someone threw something at Marc's eye during Crazy Game. Marc just turned it into an impromptu verse in the song which I thought was great.
I will definately be back at the Lawn next year. -j.o.a.r. August 16, 2008
good set - not overly impressed - it took a few songs for the guys to get ahold of some solid energy - good crowd for once in indy - i still have a passion for those columbus shoes tho - Whatever happened is now my new favorite live song -oldmatime August 16, 2008
Overall good show. Pretty solid setlist. the set started kinda slow and they seemed out of it until destination & untitled, when they started to pick it up. i was really impressed with this town. first time i heard it @ roo it wasn't that great, but they've def improved it live, and the crowd really dug it. Best version of Dareh Meyod I've ever seen live. whatever happened was awesome and is now my new favorite song off All sides -cwagisKingofThing August 16, 2008
First time seeing them at the Lawn, and was pretty impressed. It was my birthday, and this was a great way to spend it. I was really happy with the setlist...of course everybody is going to have songs they want to hear...but they can't play everything. I was hoping to see the With a Little Help From My Friends cover or War Song (or a couple personal favs), but that is no way a complaint about what they did play. I was really excited that they started with The Wanderer, since I had yet to see it live.

Ozomatli was one hell of an opener as well. I love the energy and sound, especially from the bassist. -GypsySon August 16, 2008
This was my first OAR concert... Ive been a fan for a while now, but just couldnt get around to seeing them. But anyways, the concert was SO good, especially from the front row! I REALLY need the recordings yet. NOTE i swear on my mothers grave that the person who threw that thing at marc was my gf!! she through one of the playing cards we found on the ground, and she just about hit Marc after throwing it on stage! This is another reason why I need that recording of Poker. Ha.
***J.O.A.R*** Do you have the recording? -mzervic August 17, 2008
My 9th time seeing O.A.R. since 2003...
Both Ozomatli and O.A.R. sounded great, great setlists for both... shit ass crowd.
No one was really into Ozomatli even with a killer "Stir It Up" cover. When O.A.R. came on it was pretty apparent that 70% of the crowd didn't know any songs that weren't from the 'All Sides' and 'Stories of a Stranger' albums. Marc tried to have the crowd sing the opening to 'Delicate Few' and had to come in half way through because there weren't enough people that knew the words. But oh God, when radio singles, "Shattered" and "Love and Memories" (i hate that song) were played, the crowd seemed to go more nuts than when the band played 'That Was a Crazy Game of Poker' mid-set. O.A.R. concerts have sadly become a haven for jailbait and the jailbait was out in full force that night and looking to get someone arrested. One of the highlights of the night was after the O.A.R. ended the encore with "Whatever Happened" with Ozomatli guesting, the house music that started playing was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey and everyone stayed and sang along with the music and then left.....
Pretty sad that a band that puts on an entertaining show has crowds of dumbass kids trying to fight each other because people make fun of them for making out with their girlfriends in front of everyone. Favorite part of the night, tossing some kid's New Balance waaay into the crowd after he hit me crowd surfing and lost his shoe. -NavyBoy41 August 18, 2008
This show was by far the most fun show I have seen O.A.R. play! The audience had a lot of energy and it was awesome to hear so songs off of the All Sides Album live--Especially "This Town" and "Whatever Happened". It is my hope though, that one time the band will play one of their longer versions of "That Was a Crazy Game of Poker" in Indianapolis. Nonetheless, it is always a must when they visit. I can never complain about a show they put on, THEY ARE ALWAYS AMAZING. Also, it was a major highlight that they waved to me as I yelled at Mark, Benj, and Jerry as they got off their tour bus to go on stage. :) -MegNZee August 20, 2008
This was the second time ive seen them at the lawwn. Its a sweet place for a concert for sure. I loved that they opened with the wanderer havent heard it live and its a great song. I got one of the usb wristbands from this concert and i was front row for the whole thing and you can hear me yelling "get it mike" at random times throughout the concert. Overall it was an amazing show! Def will be back next year. -jbam369j September 19, 2008
I thought this set list was alright, I got 2nd row middle by only coming a hour early which was awesome besides the fact that these non-fans were right in front of me who did not sing one word and just took pictures the whole time which was so irritating along with the fact no one sang along to delicate few... so excited to see heard the world finally though -number1fan September 22, 2008
