Reviews What a great show. I was front row for the second night in a row, got a set list and pic from Jerry. The energy this weekend was unbelievable. 'Tonight' and 'Light Switch Sky' in the same show, wow. Cool to here Zion and Coalminer. The intro for Night Shift was sick as well. Gotta love the 59th street intro for City On Down as well. Crowd was alright, no crowd surfers thankfully, but a lot of fans that were either drunk or only knew the major songs, overall a great show though! My 11th show, many more to come... -oarfan16 November 22, 2010
Wow, Where do I begin? First off, my request for "To Zion Goes I" was played! That would've been enough to make this night awesome, but then seeing the Twitter post about hearing new music got me excited. Definately did not think that I would end up being 1 out of 6 people to get to go on the tour bus and have Jerry personally play us 3 songs that have not even been mixed or anything. They asked for our input and we got to chat with Jerry for a bit. Richard also came up on the bus (if only to refill his cup!) and said hello to everyone. That was enough to make the night complete regardless of anything. But then after the show at the merch booth, I purchased both of Mikel Paris' albums, which he signed for me, and I told him about the amazing night and how perfect it was. He passed me a piece of paper, and said "Now you're night is perfect". It was his copy of the setlist! This was my 27th show and I thought being front row center at SPAC over the summer was amazing. PEANUTS. Amazing night from an amazing group of guys, that never fail to entertain, and know how to keep close to their fans even through the success. Its too rare these days. I feel like I did after my first show.
As far as the setlist goes, I couldn't have asked for more. Coalminer was an awesome suprise, and the run of "Lay Down, Black Rock, and Hey Girl" can't be topped. ZION! I have been waiting for years to hear them play this live, and it is a very rare song to hear live, and them taking my request via twitter is awesome. Loved getting to hear 59th Street Bridge into City. It was long overdue. Love the Full Band outro on Over and Over. Definately added an awesome "encore" element to it! Cannot wait to hear the new stuff!

PS...The 3 songs they played for us were absolutely AMAZING! I don't think I have heard them sound like this since Risen or possibly Soul's Aflame! Look forward to the new album fans if these songs were any indication! -scheisty1 November 22, 2010
