Reviews My fourth Jones Beach show and hands down the best. Old songs galore! -tindawg31 August 4, 2007
The best OAR show i have ever seen. So many amazing things went down tonight. Marc went into the crowd during poker. A lot of old songs that were amazing. Great energy. -syracuse279 August 4, 2007
My third show at the beach and by far my favorite. Loved the amount of old stuff played tonight, really emotional version of patiently. Mr. Moon was a pleasant surprise for me, and Marc running around through the crowd during Poker was sick. I was sitting toward the edge of the theater, so I got to shake hands with Jerry and Paris before they came on, both seemed like great guys and thanked me and my friends for comin out to see the show. The crowd seemed to be of the newer variety, I realized it the most during Night Shift where they cut the music after "i've been workin' five days" for the crowd to sing "full time", and my section was pretty much silent, not many people knew the words. Either way, I had an amazing time, 6th show overall and it keeps getting better every time. -Fryguy8585 August 4, 2007
woohoo!! killer show! yea downeaster alexa, patiently, here's to you night shift and everythin else... cuda asked for better encore but no complaints!! great night! -lazboy00 August 4, 2007
setlist was sick, loved the 34th and 8th intro of dareh meyod, but i agree with fryguy8585, i sat in the middle section and there were so many people sitting for a lot of the time except for like hey girl and love and memories, but oar was great -hnn861 August 4, 2007
THE BEST set list i have ever seen from the band!!! It was an amazing selection of songs....great mix of old stuff that they have not played in a long long time.....along with some of the newer stuff from stranger and a few brand new songs.....i have to agree alot of the "fans" did not know the words to the older songs.....that sucks for them......O.A.R is awesome.....peaceeee -OARFifty2Fifty August 4, 2007
I've been to many O.A.R. shows now, and this was an incredible show. The classics were played and they really threw you a surprise the whole show through. Well done boys this year at Jones Beach. See yah on the 12th. -mincus64 August 4, 2007
I didn't go to this show but i wish i could have gotten to hearr this one. This is almost one of my dream setlist's here. Opening with 34th and 8th intro is something i hope to hear before i die. -Justin=OARFAN August 4, 2007
WOW! 8th row was sick..I went to both msg shows and i think this show was right up there...setlist was amazingg! crowd was nuts...song surprises at every corner. They jammed out to every song it was insane...the long break to talk during city on down, heres to you was sickkk, alexa was better than last years, poker was kinda short even tho it was nuts when he came to the orchestra seats like 10 feet from me...the thing with the sixers was cool but i think people would have rtaher heared i feel home or see you cry...hands down the best jones beach show ever---crowd was def better, not as many drunk little chicks, the cops had the parking lot on lockdown so the tailgating wasnt as insane as last eyar, at least it was under control---all i can say is what a night, what a show, and for my 6th show it was amazzzinggg! -nhlpunk101 August 4, 2007
This was my first ever OAR show and definitely the best concert I've ever been to. The break in City on Down when Marc talked to the audience, Night Shift, Here's To You, Program Director, Downeaster 'Alexa', Patiently - What an incredible night. The encore could have been stronger (one more song, or replace Big Easy) but ending with the Blood Outro was a great way to end the show. The whole crowd around me was standing (Orch F) and most everyone was into it and energetic. Great show! Great night! Can't wait to see them again! -liveitup2dmx August 4, 2007
Worst O.A.R. show I've been to. I missed the 34&8 intro because of drunk morons so that was just a bad start.

Here's To You was the high point of the show for me. Up to then I wasn't even enthused to be there. Downeaster Alexa was cool to hear again and the only saving grace of Poker was Marc walked right past me.

I think this might be my last show for a long time. I just can't deal with the terrible fans and completely sterile feel I get from the band these days. -BltByKrmn August 4, 2007
all i can say is wow. probably the best set the band has ever performed at Jones Beach. Conquering Fools, Night Shift, Here's To You, Paitently and of course the Downeaster Alexa for long islanders. Program Director has been changed and it is very solid now. Amazing Set, great show guys! -aboutanhrago August 4, 2007
If the pregame on the lawn wasnt enough... this rocked -markis64 August 4, 2007
the shows here get better every year. this was no exception. awesome set. -long day intro August 4, 2007
Wow! Great Show! Third Time Seeing OAR at Jones...best show yet! OAR jammed out on most songs the best i've seem them play. Loved all the old songs and the crowd was better than last year...Not as many drunk little girls running around. Downside of the show was the Big Easy which could have been replaced with I Feel Home or See you Cry. -yankjet82000 August 4, 2007
This was my 9th O.A.R. show and my 4th at the beach. Hands down this was the best Jones Beach show I've seen. The setlist was sick!!!!!!!! I was so pumped when they played Night Shift beacause that was the first time I've heard it live in concert. Something Coming Over is also my all time favorite song and I love that they've started to play it in concert again! The Downeaster Alexa was awesome too... much better then last year I think... and Big Easy with Stephen Kellog and the Sixers was a nice surprise... Basically this show was kick ass -jmorin August 4, 2007
All i gotta say is that jones beach sucks for not allowing tapers because that show was fucking sick. It was great to hear what is mine for the first time, it sounds so rad, great dareh meyod opener, and i was so happy to see conquering fools, heres to you, and patiently. Overall unreal show! -mychariot17 August 4, 2007
Wow, amazing show last night. This was my 7th show and I can say it is one of the best I have seen. Such a great selection of oldies and some kick ass new songs, I love what is mine. Marc had so much energy tonight and it was sick to see him run through the crowd. HERE'S TO YOU!! I loved when Marc reached into the crowd and put the FDNY shirt on the drumset, that was sick. Greeat show last night, best show at jones yet, too bad it wasn't recorded. SK6 you guys rock -slick923 August 4, 2007
absolutely sick show... best show at the beach in the four years i've been going. the setlist was awesome and marc was going crazy all night with the freestyling and running through the crowd. loved the old songs and downeaster alexa, and of course my single favorite song, heres to you. amazing show -OAR_herestoyou August 4, 2007
I am a big O.A.R. fan but unfortunately I have never been able to get to one of their concerts until last night. I've been to countless numbers of concerts in my life and I can honestly say that this was by far one of the best. Everything about it was great. I enjoyed how every member of the band got their equal share of playing time. I especially thought that Jerry Depizzo put on a great show. Overall it was a great experience and I can't for them to come back again. -Sjms47 August 5, 2007
this was my 16th show, and by far the nicest theater i have ever been to....had excellent seats and enjoyed the show to the fullest....came all the way from Syracuse to hear this one....my friends and i were very happy to be able to hear the setlist that was played....Marc threw in some really hott freestyles...fans could have been more in to it, alot of people didnt know many songs...." I say what ya'll doing at the beach tonighttttt" -Knowityoulover August 5, 2007
Conquering Fools, COD, and Night Shift....Nice run -tperugini August 6, 2007
Sick concert, everything was great, i was second row and could almost touch Jerry during the sax solo, and it was great to see Marc taking the FDNY t-shirt i was right next to that guy!!!!! but this was my second at Jones Beach and my 7th overall, and it was great, i love Downeaster "Alexa" its great for the setting and i was so excited to hear Mr.Moon and What is Mine, also Patiently was very emotional and Program Director is always a sick jam and hearing the 34th and 8th intro for dareh meyod was a great way to start off the night and kick up some energy
Thanks to O.A.R. for yet another great concert -HearMecallout August 6, 2007
AWESOME show, second time this year seeing them front row. Great set list, crowd was a little weak, but i was rocking out having an awesome time!! -billyk89 August 13, 2007
to be honest, i would say this was the worst show i've ever been to, only because i thought it was too slow. every chance they had to speed it up with a faster song to get the crowd jumping again, they failed. downeaster alexa was nice to hear from them, decent set, but could've done a better job overall. -chev1169 August 15, 2007
Still thinking about this show waiting for the next tour announcement. Another weak oncore but better than the second garden show. No show will ever top the first night at the agrden -kngofthethng2 October 26, 2007
i am a huge oar fan but unfortunately i have never been able to get to any of their shows until this show but second row was an amazing experience for my first concert. I really loved this setlist alot of old songs. thaught the encore was still great with big easy. i also was totaly thrilled that i got to here a the 34th and 8th opener. I will most likely never forget this show and i cant wait for their new tour and cd. -dinnerlastnight November 4, 2007
This was my first show and I felt like a senior citizen at 35 years old. I just started to listen to OAR in the past year and I am hooked. Can't wait to see them again, and again!!!! -jwfpgapro January 7, 2008
